I don’t think I’ve talked about Ron Gould’s design yet, which I meant to do the first time he appeared in his ring gear. I had a very specific picture in my head of what I wanted Ron to look like, although it wasn’t until later that I realized that my inspiration for him, visually, was Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. With Adrian Adonis’ hair, pre-haircut from Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake”. I’m not sure if Greg Valentine ever wore a sparkly jacket like the one on this page (I mostly remember him wearing a Ric Flair-style robe. Why is that committed to my memory?), but during the era he wrestled in you could pretty much guarantee that somebody on the card would be a wearing a jacket like that.
Nobody has won the contest yet. At this rate I suspect that three correct answers will be enough to win it, since I think I might have been a little too devious with the difficulty of one of them.
