Why do I keep thinking it’s a good idea to draw the action spilling into the crowd? It’s always an absurd amount of work. But then again, dives into the crowd are always so COOL, either in real life or illustration form.

In retrospect, I took a page where not that much happens and made a whole bunch of stuff happen in the background. The double dropkick and plancha didn’t need to happen to advance the story, but I spent more time drawing them than the rest of the strip combined.
