Early update! Okay, only a few hours, but still.
I’m pretty happy with how this page turned out, especially the first coule of panels (which took forever to ink, but I think it was worth it). The characters’ reactions to the flying cross body block is a bit of a nod to Rob Van Dam’s Five Star Frog Splash, which he typically sold as if it hurt him just as much as the other guy. He probably still does, but I haven’t seen anything he’s done since he was in the WWE. Apparently he’s wrestling Jerry Lynn at the next TNA PPV, which is… well, 10-12 years after their epic wars over the ECW Television Title, which I guess is keeping with TNA’s theme of trying to recreate the late ’90s.
