Oh god sick. Commentary later when my body is no longer in revolt.
EDIT: Okay, my body seems to be in something resembling working order today, so commentary time!
This is my favourite page so far. I had to watch YouTube videos of the Indian Deathlock a whole bunch of times to figure out how all the legs interacted, though. That’s kinda the downside of including intricate submission holds in the comic; they look good in real-time but can be tough to break down so that I can draw a snap-shot of it. I learned about the Sickle Hold from the old Game Boy Advance Fire Pro Wrestling game, which had a lot of really cool Japanese moves that don’t get seen a lot in North America. I think I saw Rob Van Dam use it once in the original ECW, on Sabu, but it’s definitely not the kind of move you’re going to see the new generation of WWE developmental clones pull out. Based on most of their physiques I’d also wager any other move involving a bridge is out, too.
On Saturday: Can Dick break out of the Sickle Hold?
