Striking is something that always comes off kind of weird to me in wrestling. Punching is, based on the rules of wrestling, an illegal move. And yet in the course of an episode of Monday Night RAW, you will see roughly 246 punches. And they will all be sold like the guy getting punched is one more shot away from getting knocked out cold. And nobody will ever be in jeopardy of being pinned after taking both of somebody’s boots in the mush.
Meanwhile, in the world of comics, Dick the Bastard regularly wins matches by headbutting people. Granted, it’s with a viking helmet, but still.
